Courses Gouda
MONDAYS, from 22 September until 15 December 2008
Beginners 1 and 2: 19.00 – 20.15
Two short courses of 6 weeks, which can be combined into one full term. We will concentrate on the connection between leader and follower, musicality, and sound technique for the basic elements (walking, turns, ochos, stops).
€ 70,00 per person for a six week course
€ 135,00 per person for a full course
Far Advanced: 20.15 –21.30
In this course we aim to deepen your experience of tango with dynamic figures and techniques where the emphasis is on the subtlety and musicality of salon tango, and on improvisation techniques to keep things interesting.

Advanced: 21.30 – 22.45
We start to combine more complex elements into the dance – volcadas, sacadas, ganchos, colgadas, boleos – and to deepen the connection between the dancers – the embrace, posture, clear leading and following

Tango, inside–out: 19.00 – 20.15
Technique lessons for dancecouples, all levels
We will focus on deepening understanding of different tango elements: walking with each other, ochos that turn by themselves, dynamic giros, sacadas without angst. Each week we will explore a new element together.

Short thematic courses: 20.15 – 21.30
2 Short courses, each six weeks long. Intermediate to Far Advanced levels
Milonga (18 and 25 Sep, 2, 9, 23 and 30 Oct)
Discover the joyful side of tango. Full of rhythmic play, energy and swaying hips, Milonga is a whole other world. We will focus on musicality, techniques to speed up, traspie, and playful possibilities for him and for her.
Dance me very tenderly... (6, 13 and 20 Nov, 4, 11 and 18 Dec)
Close embrace, slow and sweet. In this course we will explore tango de salon, with smaller, more subtle movements and an ever stronger connection between the dance pair.

Intermediate: 21.30 – 22.45
The natural follow on from a full beginners course – start putting the elements together in a variety of combinations. Attention for musicality, comfort and fluid movement.

Courses Alphen aan den Rijn
TUESDAYS from 9 September until 2 December 2008
Absolute beginners: 19.00 – 20.15
Beginners 2: 20.30 – 21.45
We know that people learn best when they are relaxed, so in this course we offer a straightforward, enjoyable introduction to Argentine tango, at a relaxed pace. We explore the connection between the dance pair, clear communication between leader and follower, and the basic techniques and steps that you can combine into a variety of combinations.
Young or old, everyone can dance tango. Dance experience is not necessary, but a partner is! (m/w, m/m, w/w are all possible)

Students:
Students are eligible for a 20% reduction on the price of courses, and pay € 12,00 for a drop–in lesson
Extra courses:
If you’d like to follow extra courses you get a 20% discount on the second full course, and a 30% discount on the third. Course participants pay € 12,00 p.p. for a drop–in lesson.
